The smell and the sexes

The sense of smell depends a lot on the sex. Women have more developed sense of the smell and they are able to distinguish smells. There are only a few scientific works that tell about the well-developed male sense of the smell.

Women are especially sensitive to the smell of testosterone. It is reflected from the first years of life of human beings. Girls in kindergartens are also more sensitive to the smells.

Those women who don't take hormonal substances on preventing the pregnancy have changes in their smell every month during the menstrual cycle. And women become especially sensitive to male pheromones not long before the ovulation. And women who take the preventive pregnancy pills have the same sense of smell during the whole month.

But smell is not only connected with the sex of the person but also with the age. For example, newly-born babies have very well-developed sense of the smell. But in a year they loose 40-50% of its abilities.
